Standing Committees:

Membership Promotion & Retention - Develops programs for recruitment and retention of members, organizes Membership mixers and Spike Club outing.

Public Relations - Keeps media informed on meetings and special events, placing press releases, keep a positive image of the association.

Long Range Planning - Develops a 5 year plan, updates as necessary, focuses on the future of the Association.

Standing Committees Concerning Government:

Governmental Affairs -Studies issues that affect the industry and represents TCBA’s position at local legislative meetings, commission meetings, etc. Meets with chapter governmental affairs committee chairmen on a regular basis for idea exchange and information update.

Political Action Committee (Treasure Coast Builders-PAC) - Interviews candidates and determines who receives political contributions, solicits candidates for office, supports registration drives and “get out the vote” campaigns. (Separate organization with separate dues structure.)

Councils:

Green Building Council - Strengthens the awareness of green building concepts and technologies and promotes the available incentive opportunities among our members and their customers.(Additional annual council dues)

Trades Council - For the benefit of all trades i.e. Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, etc.

Sales and Marketing Council - Educates the sales force of our members, teaches businesses to more professionally market themselves. Host the Medallion Awards Event. (Additional annual council dues)

Remodeler's Council - represents and serves the interests of its members by promoting professionalism and recognition while providing informational and educational programs for members engaged in the remodeling industry.

County Chapters:

Steering Committee - Decides speakers and governmental affairs issue for each chapter. Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County and Okeechobee County

Special Projects:

Parade of Homes - Organizes, promotes and runs the annual Spring Parade of Homes. Awards program that recognizes the outstanding building techniques by our Builders and their subcontractors.

Fishing Tournament - Organizes, promotes and runs the Memorial Weekend Fishing Tournament.

Builders Expo & Home Show - Organizes, promotes and runs the Fall Builders Expo & Home Show.

Medallion - Awards program that recognizes outstanding achievements in the fields of Sales, Marketing and Building Design.

Sporting Clays - Organizes, promotes and runs the Sporting Clays Fun Shoot.

Golf Tournaments - Organizes, promotes and runs the Golf Tournaments in Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County and Okeechobee County.

Other Committees:

Education Committee - Educate the membership and the public about the purposes and goals of the Treasure Coast Builders Association.

• Future Builders of America - Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County and Okeechobee County.

Speakers Bureau - Provides experts in various fields of the industry to address outside community groups.
